YET ANOTHER OVERSEAS PPE MANUFACTURER TO PLANT ITS FLAG ON US SOIL

Emboldened by the huge profits and price gouging made possible by the Pandemic, another large Nitrile Glove manufacturer intends to get up close and
personal with its highest paying customer… America.

Sri Trang, one of the larger nitrile glove companies based out of Thailand, has announced plans to manufacture and sell gloves in the US.

The proposed 100-plus acre campus will serve as a North American hub for Sri Trang comprising a nitrile glove manufacturing facility, distribution center and
warehouse, and administrative complex. The facility will support Sri Trang’s existing operation in Tampa, Florida – Sri Trang USA, Inc. – and augment their east coast distribution centers.

Although Sri Trang has been an industry leader in the Nitrile Glove industry for many years, Sri Tang is currently listed on the FDA’s Importer Alert publication
for 6 level 1 red line detentions, because the presence of defects in their medical gloves represents a potential hazard.

CDRH (Center for Devices and Radiological Health) has determined that Sri Trang has failed to consistently provide medical gloves of adequate quality for
distribution in the U. S. Defective medical gloves present a potential hazard to health for users as well as patients. Therefore, continuous monitoring of Sri Trangs gloves is needed.

In order for Sri Trang to be removed from the Red List, documentation will need to be provided with sufficient evidence that their medical gloves are not adulterated (for example, five consecutive non-violative shipments
analyzed may be considered adequate evidence for Sri Trang to be removed from the 6 Level 1 detentions.
